Materialistically, one-dimensional Western civilization

Western Europe is generally unfamiliar with the noetic style of painting required for icon painting. The iconic style of pointing breaks all naturalistic rules of painting. Thus, one can generally say that the West is in painting materialistic only. Nowadays, unfortunately, even with Orthodox Christians this is the case. However, a person who remains with the image of an icon as a way of life, does experience, in certain circumstances and situations of being briefly exposed to divine phenomena.
Continuing in this line of thought, noetic values, such as truth, freedom and love generally manifest themselves concretistically. Access to Western values is by way of money, capital.
Love, for example, turns into sex, further into hardcore porno; freedom is physical freedom, and truth is that which the state presents as truth through its legislatures. – Legalism, force and violence are the pillars that hold up this type of social order. In the final analysis, it is an order that is solely based on the Ego, an psychological entity, that, in essence is powerless, and, therefore, must be propped up.
